I am importing into Canada and my goods are being held up at the border. I have been advised they need to go into a bonded warehouse, what is a bonded warehouse?

A bonded warehouse is a customs approved building or area used for storage of goods that have not been released or are being held for export. They will stay in such a warehouse until customs have approved the documents and allowed for the goods to be released.
