What is an I.T. Bond and the required documents?

An Immediate Transportation (IT) Bond covers goods from one U.S. port to another designated U.S. port. This needs to be filed at the first U.S. port of entry. The required documents for the IT bond are:

  • Bill of lading
  • The port of origin and port of destination
  • Notification party
  • Invoice
